Don & Rachel Sigmon
Club Owners |
|
Don and Rachel have owned and operated the South Beach Racquet Club
since they built it in 1986. Both are high level tennis players, who
can be frequently seen playing on the courts with members and guests
alike. Don and Rachel have coached high school teams and help conduct
clinics at SBRC. Their two daughters, Krystina and Kendall, are both
collegiate tennis players, grew up playing and training on the SBRC
courts.

Michael O’Keefe

A native of Nantucket, MA, Michael played his college tennis at Div
III Ithaca College, where he was the captain his senior year. Michael
has an extensive tennis teaching career. A former Head Pro at the Van
Der Meer Tennis Center here in Hilton Head, Michael was formerly the
Director of Racquet Sports at the Garden City Country Club in New
York. He has also worked at tennis clubs in California, Colorado and
Massachusetts. A PTR National Tester and Clinician, Michael has also
been certified by USPTA, PPTA (Platform Tennis) and PSIA (Skiing).
Michael and his wife Helaine have one daughter, Phelan.

Keith Hutcheson

Keith Hutcheson is from the Northern
Virginia area. A junior player standout, Keith played tennis for
the University of Richmond. After enjoying a a successful career in
banking, Keith is enjoying his second career in tennis. Keith
teaches the junior clincs here at South Beach and is available for
lessons with any age and ability. Keith lives in Bluffton with wife
Jamie and their three children, Amy, Jacqueline and Benton. |

Ryan Lissner

Ryan joins the staff this
year from Columbia, Maryland. He is currently enrolled at
the University of Maryland and a member of the Men’s Tennis Team.
Ryan is a two-time Maryland State Champion; All-Metropolitan Player
of the Year and twice named to the Washington Post All-Metropolitan
Team, finishing 3 times in the top three in the State. Ryan will be
instructing the junior programs as well as conducting private
lessons. |

Sarah Riske-McGlamery
Former Touring Pro & WTA
Touring Coach |
Sarah grew up playing in her home of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and
went on to play #1 Singles and Doubles at Division I powerhouse,
Vanderbilt University. Sarah continued her tennis, playing on the
WTA Tour, winning 2 ITF Satellite tour events along the way. She
reached a career high of # 372 in Singles and #213 in Doubles. Sarah
is currently traveling and coaching her sister, Ally, a WTA Top 200
player. Sarah is available by appointment when her travel schedule
allows. |

These are
the wonderful women of the SBRC Proshop. Most the ladies are very
accomplished tennis players, and all of them are great fans of our
sport. They are ready to help you with everything from court time
reservations and finding matches to finding the right size T-shirt
to bring home from vacation!
